JOB VACANCY: PREP TECHNICIAN/HIRE COORDINATOR
LOCATION: MEDIA CITY, SALFORD.
SALARY: COMPETITIVE. BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS.
WORKING HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY 9am-5:30pm.

Visual Impact Northern Limited specialises in rental and sales of broadcast and video production equipment. We have a large hire stock inventory, covering all the main brands associated with video production. Visual Impact Northern Ltd is a leading business within the industry, and our rental office is based in MediaCity.

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Prep Technician/Hire Coordinator to join our team in Salford. The position is predominately office based and a broad knowledge of broadcast equipment is preferred. Full training will be given on products you are not familiar with.

As part of this role will be a communication centred, the ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, both over the phone and face to face. This is crucial not only for our customer experience, but to ensure operations are run smoothly behind the scenes within our busy tightknit team.

Being computer literate is a must, as you will be dealing with email correspondence and operating our in-house Hire Software Package. We’re looking for someone who can pick things up quickly, adapting to new and challenging situations with a positive attitude.

In this role you will have the opportunity to grow. During your training period you will be supporting and learning from the Hire Team, where tasks will include prepping broadcast production equipment, answering telephone calls, processing orders and handling customer enquiries, either on the phone or via email. This will quickly develop into a key Hire role within the company. There will also be opportunities as the position develops to assist on certain productions.

Specific tasks will include:

  • Answering calls & processing customer enquiries.
  • Servicing the needs of existing customers while developing new customer relationships.
  • Organising logistics of Hire jobs.
  • Creating customer quotes.
  • Researching product information.
  • Supporting senior sales staff.
  • Prepping and checking equipment.
